As a child I would happily spend hours drawing, cross stitching or knitting, or losing myself in a good book. I loved putting things into an order and would relish the challenge of untangling a ball of wool.
In fact, I still do.
Now is the time for me to rediscover all of life’s simple pleasures and treasures.
Things here may all seem a little eclectic at first, but I am sure it will all make sense eventually. From my love of old linens to my love of old dogs! Everything has its place as a simple pleasure or a simple treasure.
Roses and Robins is the name of the small and simple home in my head that keeps me happy and content. The smell of a fragrant rose and the smile brought on by the sight of a red breasted robin are the things which help to keep this dreamer sane.
I like nothing more than to lose hours in a garden and watching nature do its work, and the garden visitors, be they friend or foe!
The shop is eclectic, there is no doubt she will, in time, become an ordered home for my own arts, crafts and eclectic pretty things, but in the meantime please bear with her.
I want you to visit this virtual department store and find some small item which brings a smile to your face and I want you to take it home with you.
I want you to stay a while and linger and browse, maybe popping the kettle on and giving yourself 5 minutes to just stop and relax and dream.
If you would like to see all that is shiny and new, or re-loved as it arrives in the shop, or take up on any of my special offers which will appear from time to time, then I would love you to subscribe to the Roses and Robins “Occasional” Newsletter.
Just enter your email address and click the Subscribe button in the panel on the right hand side, or at the foot of this page, and with your permission I’ll add you to the eMail list.
